Social Circus is the way to use circus art, theater, dance and music to help people in difficulty in their daily life. The purpose is not to transform them into artists, but to use circus as a tool to establish a contact with them, to help them gain confidence, to develop their body and their mind.
The goals of the workshop are:
To promote the concept of social circus in Romania, as it is a recent idea, not well known yet;
To discover why this is an interesting and a useful approach to work with people with fewer opportunities and different abilities;
To experience and learn different methods and exercises that the participants can use in their work in an efficient way.
To share games, exercises, opinion and experiences on the subject.
And, of course, to learn the art of juggling!
The opportunity is opened for all those people interested in Social Circus and social animation, no matter what is their profession: animators, trainers, facilitators, teachers, educators, youth workers, social workers, therapists, students, people interested in expressing themselves through animation.
